About

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to our tea room! Here at the White Heather, we are proud to provide an authentic afternoon tea experience.

Most of our food, including the preserves and cream, is prepared from scratch in house. Only sandwich bread and tart shells on our afternoon teas are purchased through suppliers. Our tea plates are artistically arranged and presented to you in an intimate white-linen setting. Our customer service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the sounds of laughter and good conservation abound.

We offer a wonderful selection of teas, from traditional favourites to special blends, herbal teas, green teas and more. If coffee is 'your cup of tea', don't despair as we offer freshly brewed coffee.

In addition to afternoon tea, we serve light lunches featuring soups, salads, grilled sandwiches, and sconewiches.

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit with us at the White Heather Tea Room.

Our History

White Heather Tea Room was opened on January 6, 2000 by Agnes Campbell, a native of Scotland. Her imprint remains on White Heather Tea Room from its name to her granny's Scottish shortbread recipe.

We constantly hear from our customers how delighted they are with the freshness of our food. We have been awarded TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence over 7 consecutive years. This is largely because of very committed kitchen staff. Many of them have been working with us since the start of the teahouse (10+ years), including Minda, Claudette, and Gaynor. They are a dream team!

About Shelley

Shelley is the 3rd owner and operator of White Heather Tea Room. She acquired the tearoom in October 2016.

She has dedicated the majority of her working life to raising 3 daughters. Shelley has always desired to do something that she can call her own. She has a passion for baking and cooking, and she enjoys trying new recipes in her free time.

Shelley has previously thrived in the hospitality business. Herself and her family successfully ran a 16-room heritage bed and breakfast in Victoria, Amethyst-Inn at Regents Park, between 2005 and 2010. During their management, her family took pride in raising their rating on TripAdvisor from 24th place (at time of purchase) to 2nd place, out of 90+ bed and breakfasts in Victoria. Customers frequently raved about Shelley's 3-course breakfast. She was also known to provide warm and generous service.

Shelley is very excited for this new endeavour!
