We are thrilled to present White Heather's 23rd Annual
Our Gratitude Tank is Overflowing with Thanks!
BEHOLD, the annual White Heather tradition of Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea, where we make a point to 1) celebrate the autumn harvest and 2) spend time pondering sentiments of gratitude with a great big feast of miniature foods, is here - your three-course turkey dinner on a tower!
This year’s Thanksgiving Tea is a three-day holiday afternoon tea feast, starting Friday October 8th - Sunday Oct 10th. To satisfy our mandate to curate all the season’s best offerings, we’ve made it our business to create a menu with enough festive turkey hor d’oeuvres to knock your socks off and warm autumn desserts to satisfy the total sum of your recommended yearly pumpkin spice intake.
AND lest you should think that this Thanksgiving menu punctuated with turkey and cinnamon is all this afternoon tea set has to offer: this year I present to you a sentiment-filled culinary display of artistic portions with nimbles and flourishes contributed from three local neighbourhood shops. From our kitchen: Claudette, Minda, Shelley and Ying continue the thoughtful traditions of the White Heather’s Thanksgiving afternoon tea with time-tested holiday recipes made with sincere and practiced hands. From Super Happy Flowers, only two blocks away from our tea room, Jill’s ephemeral wreaths that adorn the tearoom (currently for purchase, separately) and delicate petals inside our teaboxes compels an awareness of time, changing of seasons and an appreciation for the hand that can coax and nurture nature to bloom. And not least of all, this year we are carrying a limited batch of handmade marzipan fruit from Dutch Bakery & Diner: 73-year-old Case handcrafts a time-portal to an impossible place of whimsical nostalgia with marzipan fruit so we can proverbially Eat! Our! Feelings! (Of the heartwarming kind.)
With a depth of feeling I cannot fully express, I am so excited to present to you this feast of gratitude, each flavour, nimble and flourish coming together to epitomize everything I am most grateful for this past year: the privilege of being a part of a community wealthy in diversity, craft, creativity and artistry, and above all, a thriving generosity of spirit through shared experiences that connect us together.
Hands on our hearts, we wish you happy holiday eats,

DINE-IN AFTERNOON TEA
Dine-in for Thanksgiving will take place at 12:00 pm seating or 2:15 pm. Please make reservations for your desired date and seating by calling the tea room. Due to our small staff and special holiday menu, we are only able to host afternoon tea during those three days (no lunch menu). We are able to customize for vegetarians, swap out items for nut-free but will not be able to customize further beyond these two sensitivities, please read the menu carefully and let us know at the time of your reservations any requirements / requests.
Because this holiday menu will create extra steps to prepare additional ingredients and change in routine, we are committed to focus our concentrated effort into Thanksgiving Big Muckle Teabox.
Please note, due to the small-batched nature of our teaboxes there are different offerings that differentiate the two teaboxes beyond the presentation. Please read the menu below carefully.
